I read a sky pundit to today describe our style of play in cricket terms “block, block, block - with no need to take a swing” ! I like that analogy, but doesn’t it depend on what sort of pitch you are are playing on. The England team are playing on a pitch made up of Elephant s*** and straw whilst the Leeds pitch that Palace played on is made up of recycled milk cartons, condoms and green food dye.
