Our under 23's under the cosh and giving the ball away just like the first team.

Fulham are a top outfit but the Eagles have pegged them back with a pen. and a Pierrick strike.

Watching live stream from the official site for only £3 can't think of a better way to alleviate that Monday feeling.

2-2 then they will have to roll up their sleeves though and stop the sloppiness.

The sloppyness continued . . .

2-3 FT. Mathews came on & showed his class, also, imo, Giddings, Hannam & Hale showed flashes of good link up play. Woods was 'ok' as was the keeper Webber apart from that not a lot to shout about.

Im lucky, i get to see these games as they are incl in my membership package.

Yes they were very much like our 1st team, sloppy passing, some poor decision making. However, because of the energies of youth they got around the pitch reasonably well, put some good moves together and tried to attack when they could. Didn't see anyone today who could move up to the 1st team squad without quite aa bit of support, i.e. regular minutes off the bench when we are winning comfortably (which, of course, doesn't happen often). As you say, Matthews has quality - one to keep an eye on.

Agreed DB, i hope Banks wont be out for too much longer, as i'd like to see him & Mathews together, especially with Perrick up front.

Dont know about you, but, im really enjoying watching the kids so much better than the drab stuff served up by our senior squad.

I enjoy watching them (like you as a membership perk). I also enjoy Bright's comments - he doesn't pull any punches and at times he's quite insightful. But to all those who want to give the kids a chance, I'd say apart from Banks and (when at CB) Woods, the others need to have this season playing at the higher level they have just moved up to. Also, the U23s' 19 yo . no. 9 has just gone out on loan to.....?

Torquay Utd, currently top of the National League so still some way below the level needed to get on the bench in the PL.

Pierrick was OK today (took his goal well) but I was disappointed with Kirby - lost the ball too often. Fulham's winning goal came from a suicidal sideways pass well into Fulham's half which turned a promising attack into a disastrous race to stop their star man (you know that of course - but for the benefit of those who didn't see the game)..
