I thought it was a good performance last night.

We largely kept Arsenal at bay, rarely got in behind us and had we have been a bit more clinical on the break we would have nicked it.

All clubs have the same issue with strikers. It's like finding a needle in a haystack that everyone is churning through.

We've got lucky 4 times in 30 years with Wright, Armstrong, AJ, and Murray.

AJ and Murray didn't look great in their first season and Armstrong was crap in the premiership.

You just need to keep turning over all the stones until you get lucky.

AJ was a little overweight when we took him as a makeweight in the Clinton Morrison sale Dowie then trimmed him up along with the rest of the team. The other 3 were all relatively cheap and only Armstrong (injury?) didn't prosper further.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Just to say...I think Mitchell could be very good for Benteke. He has exactly the right sort of delivery for the big man. Could be transformative.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Teams like Wolves who give us no room to move will always give us huge problems, Arsenal are very mush like us in the way they play, swap kits and nobody would've noticed. We will look good against Man.C too but I'd imagine they'd be more dangerous in front of goal.

As a team again we demonstrated our awful passing abilities, how fans can say we would be much higher up the table with a more aggressive manager is beyond me, Mr Hodgson fully understands the ability of his squad and plays them accordingly in my book.

We don't do clinical, but huge respect to our manager for having faith in Benteke because he is a handful now and still improving no matter how frustrating he is with close ball control but at least he is getting more involved and building a relationship with everyone else.

We did well against a team that are actually in the same part of the table as us. I fear that Man City will be a different proposition. It will be more like playing Liverpool. Before last night I had hoped for one point from these two matches. Now we have banked it, another would be great but I am not getting my hopes too high.

Except we are actually trying to defend again without falling over all over the place and being wildly out of position, this game will be more similar to the Arsenal one in which we will look OK but will have to face more clinicalality.
