Should be heavily fined, stripped of the captaincy and made to do community service ... preferably cleaning the floors and toilets in a covid hospital.

Luka was wrong as have been various players and he deserves criticism. Edited by The Dolphin (07 Jan 2021 7.34am)

Why should he suffer more than the hundreds of others who partied on NYE? Edited by The Dolphin (07 Jan 2021 7.34am) There's no reason why he should suffer more than others. But that's life. The logical conclusion of the point you're making is that no law breaker should be punished unless all law breakers are punished. I don't imagine that's a view you hold.

Why have some other facts not being released? The fact the newspapers want any story they can blow up and they have done so with this.. If the facts are true that Luka & Mitrovic live in same block, their families play and go to school together and spent lots of times together like a bubble for months, then the impact of the NEWS would have lots its impact, Strange how "news outlets" filters out some facts to sensationalise!! How many would own up and how many broke NYE rules, yet are so pleased there are no photos of them? Originally posted by TheBigToePunt
I'd normally agree that there is far too much trial by social media around, and that misinformation, presumption and hypocrisy are never far from the surface. In this case though, I think supporters are entitled (perhaps duty-bound?) to make their feelings known, if only to apply some pressure to the club to act. As the old saying (soft of) goes: To err is human, but to party indoors with an opponent whose club has been rampant with covid, then keep quiet about it and go to training the next day risking the health (and possibly life) of others is the act of a c**t.

No they aren't but I just think these guys are easy targets.

He put his own family, friends and team mates at huge risk. The financial implications are for the club to decide, and legal team (if necessary) He ain't sorry. Sorry would cut-it immediately after the event. He's only sorry he's been caught.
I disengage, I turn the page. |
