or Ivory Coast player - he grew up and still lives in South London

It's madness that it has been called that. VAR actually got it right, it is the law that is wrong. The same with the Ward handball.

There have been a number of times where the ref and VAR got it completely wrong, by definition these are the worse decisions. Pickford against Liverpool and the no goal for Sheffield United against Villa spring to mind.

That had NOTHING to do with VAR. it was a mechanical fault with the goal-line technology which is an entirely different system, so we can't blame VAR for that one.

We are a small club playing in a generally cautious fashion. Why on earth should that excite the media?

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Yes laughable, but there are plenty of examples of lazy headlines and statements. Such as a couple of weeks back with "Palace beat 10 man Fulham", which gave the impression that we had the advantage of playing against 10 men for a great chunk of the game ignoring the fact that the red card was actually in the 88th minute.

I thought that the VAR team initially said that they were powerless to look at the incident but then retracted that and said that VAR should have seen it and told the ref to watch it on a monitor.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

was aware of their first re being powerless but wasn't aware there was a follow up. So, ignore my earlier post.

Saw on BBC sport headline ‘Chelsea hammer Sheff Utd’ . Score was 4-1.
Just a footnote ‘Palace beat Leeds’

Couldn't care less what the media say, we're at our best when plodding along nicely.
