True but we must remember that last season Southampton were an absolute mess up until around mid November and were in the relegation zone until Matchday 17. They improved dramatically in the second half of the season and finished an extremely respectable 11th in the end. The sooner we get to 40 points the better

Very true, teams can always turn things around we should know as Palace fans! I suspect Sheffield United are probably the most likely to do it, maybe Burnley, I just hope not more than one does. !

Shamelessly cheered Kane’s late goal vs WBA today!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Hodgson is doing a steady as opposed to a ‘brilliant ‘ job in my view.
If he gets the plaudits for when we play well surely it’s reasonable for him to be criticised when we don’t play well for tactical or selection reasons.
This is not negativity from the fans but more an expression of calling it as they see it.
The whole point of forums.

Depending on the result and performance one day he is cock of the walk and on another a feather duster.

Agree with you because you said a steady job and that fair criticism of when the team fails on the pitch is OK which of course is right, what is wrong and annoying is the blatant Roy must go brigade.

I think you have absolutely nailed it with that succinct summary.

His brother improves Swansea exactly the same.

just imo....Clyne may be a better player than Wardy...but Joel would've thrown himself and a foot in for their goal. Clyney bottled it.

Sometimes commitment and loyalty means more than ability.

I wonder when we last had a bench full of internationals.
