I dont think we should metaphorically cross our fingers though. We should smash them playing our best against their best. The squads atm are quite closely matched with us being just slightly better.

The International break has helped dull the memory of the abysmal performance against Chelsea. I am also buoyed by the signing of Clyne and the return to training of a few of our First teamers so I’m mildly optimistic. I’ll go for a slightly less sh*t performance than our last outing and a 1-2 defeat to a team much livelier and much more hungry for the win.

I can't call this. I simply don't know which Palace will turn up. If it's the one that played against Everton we should get something from the game and probably a win; if it's the Chelsea one then it's curtains for us. I suspect it will be something in between and we may scrape a draw. The only redeeming feature is that Brighton have been shipping goals like they're going out of fashion.

If we put in the same shift we did in the first 3 games we can win, if the team turn in as the did v Chelsea then we are in trouble, I'm kind of hopeful that that will have given them all a kick up the backside, be good to see bats start, JA has done nothing wrong but picking the same team each week doesn't create any competition.
