At halftime I suspect many of us were "satisfied." We'd played solid tactical defense and had conserved plenty of energy for the second half. Chelsea's early goal, on an ugly mistake, upended our "plans" for a scoreless draw or perhaps a lucky 1-0 victory. Deflated, we played lethargic. So, yes, it was a terrible 45 minutes. I think Roy's only reason for calling on Luka was to placate the former captain facing two long weeks of training. What l don't get is how any team can continue to survive when continually having to rely on its defense, yes we had a reasonable first half, but you know mistakes are going to come continually under pressure, and unless we have midfield and forwards, who are allowed to break out and return the pressure we will loose the game.l think we have had aresonable window but we could have made more effort to get another playmaker, our midfield looks tired and jaded allready, and Luka doesn't look half the player he was last season!

We can not compete in a Formel 1 race with an old Toyota engine (McCarty & MacArthur.) They work hard, but lose the ball too easily and can not put any quality pass to our front players. So there is a kind of vacuum in the middle of the park where we simply are not up to it. No creativity in midfield - what do you expect the strikers to do?
