Putting the Hurst in Selhurst

mostly it is references to woods, thicket's, forests.

in Dutch ....horst means a 'birds nest'.

And reflect that the next time we draw Nottingham Forest .....We could be Sel-forest and they could be Nottingham Hurst.

Didn’t the ‘Sel’ originate from a bowl shape in a valley or something?

is a Castle (richly adorned Hall ) almost like a Palace ?
