Does anyone know the length of the extensions to the four player contracts announced today (McArthur, Schlupp, Kelly and Henderson)?

obviously we need a 3rd choice goalie and assume Henderson has done enough to deserve another year, so no issue there but could the others not have waited until say xmas time. Schlupp and Kelly are both decent but neither regulars and Jimmy Mac already has 1 more year and will be 33 be then. We all love Jimmy but he did start looking a little leggy last season and zero goals is an indication that he is less box to box these days. Sometimes i think we hand out contract extensions too quickly.

they are not an extension to our squad as they're already in it (although i know what you mean!!). Not saying they shouldn't be extended , merely maybe wait a few months and see how they do next season. Jimmy Mac got zero goals in 30 odd games before covid - he was looking a little leggy already IMHO. If you want a younger squad, as club keeps stating, you need to stop extending contracts of older players. We can only have 25 in a prem squad. Similar with Scott Dann really. Did well at back end of last season and so happy he has another year with us but this decision appears to have been made quite early. Why not wait?

I believe the only way we had anywhere near 25 players in the squad last year was by registering a load of goalies. Realistically, we have at least 4 spaces in the 25.
