I agree. I've liked his play so far given that he's young and still learning. Hopefully continues to develop. Hey was that a bright spot for the end of this year?

Much better second half today. Looks like he could do with a year on loan in the Championship to toughen him up and gain experience. Not as oven ready as AWB but good to see youth getting a chance. Completely agree. Giving him someone exposure will probably help tempt clubs to come into loan him, perhaps playing us a few quid for the pleasure of his services. I think I'd still play Reidewald ahead of him as a back up for PVA.

This was his second ninety minutes , dealing with two of the most mobile players in the Premier, In the circumstance he came through really well, a little green at times ,as you would expect. But all in all he contributed well to the team effort . Some of his attacking play was first draw in the Spurs match,. One swallow, don’t make a summer but I look forward to see this fella develop.

This is a fair and accurate assessment of the young chap.

To fair he was "thrown under the bus" with his full debut up against Traore. Understandably the struggled. However Yesterday I thought he looked calm on the ball, his distribution was good. His positional sense needs working on, but there is a player in there. He will only get better with game time. Given the new season isn't far away he may well start at LB next season as I have no idea how bad PVA 's injury is.

He’ll be good back up provided he has Schlupp on the left in front of him who knows how to play the left back role and can talk him through the match. Promising for the future though and probably about a year or so away from being a regular first choice pick IMO. Maybe it will give schlupp a new sense of purpose to give the young boy a few tips. Sometimes being a mentor can give you a purpose. After all on his game schlupp is quite good and has won the premier league so has something about him for sure.

In the circumstance he has shown a lot of character, hopefully he gets more game time ,either here or on loan. In some ways having a second chance so soon ,may well have helped him, as the first effort alone would have left him a bit in the air. Getting run off the ball a bit by those two was to be expected but he never lost his concentration or confidence , Showed some decent touches and as said a lot of character in there , no bad thing if he is going to stand a chance.

I am very much of the opinion that Schlupp helped Mitchell out a great deal and supported him well. Both played pretty well. I liked the way Schlupp is able to break away from midfield with a bit of actual pace unlike the rest of our central players. Maybe the two could form a good combo down that side next season?
I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry. |

Yes, I thought his positional sense needs improving as well, Lewington talking him on the touch line helped, after he let Lucas go inside rather than push him down the line. Likes to attack and got some good crosses in, unfortunately Benteke wasn’t playing.
