People keep banging on about how important each position is. There was £2m sat on the table today on what was pretty much a no risk gamble.

Next season, the only premiership side with a smaller stadium than us with by Burnley. Now's the time to really go to get Dyche. Primarily, because I think they will struggle to find a decent replacement. It's going to be tougher than this season and it's now absolutely imperative we get younger players in the team.

Unless Brentford or Fulham (?) get promoted

I've floated the theory before that Zaha's dissatisfaction and desire to move couid have had a negative effect on the rest of the squad but I was poo-pooed by many. Hodgson's comments seem to make that possibility a little more likely.

Fair point.

Not just that either.

Compare Zaha's on field contributions this season v. last season. He could have won us a few more points had he been in any sort of form.

Someone please explain how Palace can put in spirited performances against Chelsea, Spurs, ManUtd and away at Bournemouth yet be so completely abysmal against Villa, Wolves, Leicester and Burnley in the the same time period. Makes little sense to me.

I think that we're all agreed the team is in sore need of new blood of premiership quality in the next 6 weeks. I think that's a tall order.

Next season, with or without Roy, is going to be very very tough.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

On the right with his left foot though. Cutting back most of the time. Same for wilf. I cannot understand wilf on the left and Townsend on the right. Their strong foot should be at the byline if the balls getting crossed. That's how benteke got his goals the other season.

Given how weak our strikers have been at finishing, perhaps Roy placed Wilf and Andros in positions to use their strong foot to shoot after cutting towards the center of the pitch. For what it's worth, that's the kind of question journalists seldom seem to ask managers in the U.K. whereas in the U.S. managers (head coaches) are relentlessly grilled on tactics after every contest.
