Quote from Scott Dann after defeat against Wolves.

"There’s no hiding from it," Dann said, "we’ve got ourselves in a little bit of a rut. A few of those games we weren’t at the races and deserved to lose but in the majority of them we’ve had good performances and come away on the back of the wrong results.

we weren't at the races,WE WEREN'T AT THE RACES ?????

I'd expect a lot more for £50,000 a week minimum.

I guess he's out of contract.

Well, the team were safe from relegation coming out of lockdown.and clearly started their holiday early.
Better be at the races next season or we will be in big,big trouble.

Footballers aren't particularly known for their vocab. I wouldn't, y'know, take what he says too seriously, at the end of the day.

Burnley should've finished 0-0 at the very least we had far more opportunities and we played well against Chelsea and scored ..shock horrors, Villa was stupid with their attitude towards our players and the ridiculous hand ball Sakho goal, home to Moan.U could've been a lot different if Zaha was rightly given his penalty foul and if Ayew hadn't been an atom offside, against Spurs we were the better team, the only game where we were really outplayed was Liverpool.

We were not relegation form, just results, two different things.

Add the give away goals against Leicester! Losing 7 on the trot is hard to take, but look behind the scorelines. We could easily have picked up 8-9 points during that spell (3 vs Burnley and Villa, draws vs Chelsea and ManU).

Ifs and maybes isnt a good excuse for claiming one point from 24. We got what we got and it wasnt good enough.

I'm not going to pile in on Scott Dann.

One of the best signings in the history of the football club.

Played a massive role in us surviving the 2013-14 Premier League season under Pulis when he arrived in January from Blackburn Rovers for a reported £1.5m.

Then went onto have consecutive fantastic seasons for us in the top-flight.

A definite candidate for the CPFC all-time team.

Bit of an oxymoron.

You can't not be at the races and play well.

He did get an assist and have a last minute header go wide against Spurs. Can't think of anything he's done in particular that wasn't good. I'd like to see more of him. Particularly in the last 15 minutes when Sakho's concentration goes. Why are the French so jeckel and hyde?

Certainly agree with Tonymikejoe that he's been great for the club.

Absolutely true. Luck tends to even out in the long run, but in the short run, we could have easily ended with 50 points. This doesn't hide the fact that we need to score more and improve our depth, but for the players we've got and the injuries we suffered, we had a respectable season.
