Have a look at Roy's transfer history over the years and I think you will see why nobody in their right mind would give him any spending money. I think Andy Carroll to Liverpool was one of his - if I am not mistaken.

It was actually Kenny Dalglish who signed Carroll for Liverpool for the princely sum of £35 Million.

You need to get your facts right before you start to criticise people. He had nothing to do with Carroll. He did find Brede Hangeland for Fulham and took them to the UEFA final against all the odds. We haven't been in the relegation mix
for 2 seasons, I think our lowest position in that period was 16th for one week.

Have a look at the atletico side that his Fulham narrowly lost too,

Mark Schwarzer, Zoltán Gera, Chris Smalling, Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson

Like all managers you win some and lose some

So you still reckon no one in their right mind would trust Roy with transfers!??

You may not like Roy and that’s your prerogative but I’m not sure this is the right complaint

Billy Gilmour came down to Chelsea from Rangers. In against a strong Liverpool side last night and played brilliantly. Only 18. Makes you wonder why we put Scott Banks straight out on loan back to Scotland. Could have been in and around the first team, with a few appearances perhaps from the bench once we were safe. I fancy the big difference here is Frank Lampard vs Iceland Roy.

Carrying on from this subject...
I've been keeping an eye on Sam Woods, who went on loan to Accies in Scottish Premier.
Many on here were writing similar things, like why not play him? Roy don't play our young talents and so on...
Anyone had a look how the lad is doing?
He played the first 2 matches since joining the club.
He even scored a goal. They lost 2-4 and 1-4.
He was benched for the third where they drew 1-1.
He then played the fourth match but was subbed at half time and they lost 1-3 on Feb 11.
He never featured again, once benched, twice not even on the bench. They drew 2 and won at Rangers.
Real football and managers' judgements are based on what they see day after day, from years of experience, not playing Football manager...
