I'm sure it can't be as bad as that period in the Championship when they tried playing crowd noises through the tannoy, crowds of 13/14,000 and Jobi McAnuff being the most exciting player in our team.

Is it possible the weather is impacting the mood too? It looked pretty cold and windy the last couple of games.

If we played more attractive football and scored more goals, the weather would have NO impact whatsoever.

This season at home : 10 goals from 13 games. Lowest in the division.
Last season at home : 19 goals from 19 games. Joint-second lowest in the division.
Certainly no frissons of excitement watching our team at Selhurst Park.

I didn't mean in isolation, I just meant is the bad weather adding to an already deflated mood. Was Pardew the last manager to bring goals to our home games? (albeit at both ends)

I can remember Jermaine Defoe knocking in a few.

We were not thar prolific under Pardew at Home :

2014-15 10 games after he joined, scored 11 goals
2015-16 19 games,scored 19 goals
2016-17 9 games before he was sacked, scored 12 goals.

Warnock's comment always comes to my mind regarding ground atmosphere 'you need the oohs and aahs' which means attempts on goal which we seem bereft of.
Goals for and shots on goal are an embarrassment and I'm not surprised that the boring football played is destroying the great atmosphere we once had

I reckon it's less about Palace and more about the way society has gone. People are more likely to be engrossed in their phones than using their voice.

People don't sing anymore, we used to go to pubs and have singsongs, we used to go to church and sing a few hymns. Nowadays you go to a gig and people will tell you off for singing because it "ruins their experience".

Intro of VAR has even dampened goal celebrations, the one time people still let loose.

The robotic age is upon us, and sorry, singing and dancing aint part of it.
