I would want to play on and see the season finish even if it takes till Christmas!
It is becoming increasingly likely that Euro 2020 will be postponed till next summer. if that happens, there will be wiggle room to postpone rounds of matches and finish the season later in the year.
If the season doesn't get finished, what happens then? Will it be a case that this season becomes null and void and come August we start it all again with the same teams so Norwich etc get a second bite of the cherry and Liverpool have to try and do it again? Clubs at the bottom of leagues will breathe a big sigh of relief and those at the top (and especially Liverpool) will feel cheated
It will be interesting to see

And imagine what Leeds and West Brom would think about that.

JUst watched them go out to Atletico, much better team than us but similar game plan so you never know!

Very happy about that result though, I’ve not seen that many scousers cry since the introduction of universal credit!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Knowing our luck, Alisson will be back, but that won't stop us getting the same result as Atletico.

Liverpool in recent games just beat W.Ham 3-2 on the back of two very uncharacteristic errors by Fabianski. They were then comprehensively defeated by Watford 3-0. They then lost 2-0 at Chelsea in the FA Cup, then scraped a 2-1 home win against Bournemouth. They have been conceding goals of late and not been playing with the fluency of old.

A Liverpool supporter in a drinking establishment tonight asked me if I thought Liverpool would get through to the next round and I uttered two words "No Chance" which triggered a difference of opinion.

My prediction... we won't have a chance to play them.

This will be the last week of games.

Feel sorry for the clubs in the bottom 3. Wont get a chance to climb out.

It all depends on what the Premier League decide to do about the potentially unfinished season. Unless it resumes after any break for the virus, I can see it being declared mull and void and starting all over again with the same teams still in it.

Wow that didn't take long as I predicted Mr Bonhomie has a touch of the nastiness about him.

Did he really need to swear?

Yep, typical Klopp. And had to make the sour grapes comments about Athletico's style of play. Can't just say "well played".

With the title race effectively over, Liverpool don't have much to play for now. Will be an anti-climatic end to their season. Serves them right for the lack of respect they showed for the domestic cups.
