I actually do think pardew deserves a shout. Shame pardew can only manage half a season because he oversaw one of my personal favourite times as a palace fan. That FA cup final and build up was amazing. Enjoyed the way he played even if we conceded a great deal. Don’t forget, I think he was a key part in rebuilding zaha after the man unt nonsense, who arguably has been one of our most important players in the premier league era and also in our promotion to the prem, if not the most important. I think that’s a big point actually.

Dougie doesn’t get it for me. Bought in some amazing players, some important players but his recruitment in recent years, could perhaps suggest that those previous players were somewhat lucky picks? Very different recruiting players with the strength for the championship to recruiting players with the touch of class for the premier league obviously, so in that respect maybe his recruitment was good. A lot of those players such as mile and Murray were prem quality to be fair also. Just thinking aloud here! Still, think his deficiencies would have come to the forefront had he actually stuck it out and not buggered off. Wish he would bigger off now to be honest, so we could get a proper bloke with the correct qualifications in!

Pulis. Nah. Can’t deny what a good job he did after Holloway graciously stepped aside. But only did one season. He got a bunch of random players to gel, and made me actually like Cameron Jerome. But the way he left means he shouldn’t even be considered.

Wish big sam had stayed longer, actually thought we played some good stuff under him, exciting stuff. He utilised Benteke correctly in a way that hodgson still can’t.

Hodgson has to get it. Been with us for a while now, built us to a relatively stable prem team with a limited squad. Had some amazing moments. He can play some classy stuff, if not always the most exciting. Find him frustrating but have to count your blessings with what he has managed to do.

Frank de boer an honourable mention. What a manager he was!
