Really like the look of McCarthy. Joined the match on around 30mins on Prime and only realised after 5 mins that we only had 10 men. We were on top for long periods, excellent performance, what a time to be a Palace fan.

I'd prefer Camarasa instead of Mccarthy I'd agree, but they are different players. Camarassa is a more gifted, technical player whereas McCarthy isn't he's a workhorse...which is Roy's type of player.

Believe me, Jach is unbelievably poor. I saw him a development game, where our youngsters looked better than him. Haven't we offloaded him permanently ?

I would move Kouyate to Centre back, plays there for Senegal and looked comfortable last night. Kelly to carry on right back, Schlupp at left back. Jairo, although not ideal, can play across the back 4 if needed, he began playing for us at centre back. From the under 23s at centre back, Sam Woods has played in cup games at centre back and right back, although is a right back, and Nikola Tavares at centre back was on the bench against Bournemouth last game of the season are back up. Left back was it Tyrick Mitchell who played Pre season and impressed with a last ditch sliding tackle. Wan Bisakka got his chance due to a similar injury crisis, so we may get another gem step up.

Agree with you that hopefully we might see a kid get a chance with the injury crisis Ross. But Woods is a centre back first and foremost, who has played at right back. That still gives him a good chance of a run out given injuries and suspensions.

Cahill, Dann, Ward and Van Aanholt out injured. Sakho suspended. Which leaves us with Tomkins, Kelly and Shlupp... It seems that Carhill will/might be back, nearly made it for Bournemouth apparently,

If Cahill or Dann aren't back then I'd definitely put Kouyate in the back four, as he has experience there and I think Riedewald or Woods might struggle against the experienced and muscle-head Deeney (if he starts). Then I'd simply put McCarthy in midfield as he must be desperate to prove himself. If PvA is out then just put Schlupp there. He is not the best defender and does switch off, but he's quick, gets forward well and is good in the air. With regard to Jach, I think it is clear he is not going to ever get a chance with us.
