I think there needs to be some adjustments even with VAR... Some of the offsides given in games this season have been, in my opinion ridiculous.. in some cases you’re talking the toe of a boot offside... Is that really offside?? Think there needs to be a rule about a certain distance or maybe a certain amount of body part offside.. in my opinion the toe of a boot is ridiculous.. I couldn’t understand Brighton’s penalty against Everton at the weekend either (not just saying this because it’s Brighton!) Keane never took his eyes off the ball and didn’t even look at Conneley... There has to be some intent to foul for a penalty surely... What happened was a complete accident for me. Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I think there needs to be some adjustments even with VAR... Some of the offsides given in games this season have been, in my opinion ridiculous.. in some cases you’re talking the toe of a boot offside... Is that really offside??

I envisage future kits being made out of lycra to avoid flapping shorts putting the attacker in an offside position. If they're going to use VAR for offside decisions, or in fact any decision, then the rules need to be rewritten. You can't use a new judging system without writing new rules for it. As for the Brighton penalty. Haha! If we're going to consider stepping on the toes of other players a foul then we should indeed rewrite the whole game, akin to something like touch rugby.
