Frank Bruno’s latest book is very good. covers his battle with Bipolar Disorder. Put Let Me Be Frank on your Xmas wish list. Also Jonny Baistow’s bio is good.

Yes. His book and that of Graham Thorpe were the two exceptions as both dealt extensively with personal issues rather than just how well they batted. Incidentally I went to a cricketing lunch a couple of years ago and sat next to Marcus Trescothick. What an incredibly nice and down to earth bloke he was too I liked Simon Hughes' A lot of hard yakka too. And of course CLR James' Beyond a Boundary. And not strictly an autobiography, Syed's Bounce is very good and interesting stuff.

Greavesie. Jimmy Greaves wonderful biography. For me when he was around, was my favourite football era.
