I see plenty of evidence regarding another economic collapse (imo it has been upon us for a long while now) but the majority of others see an economy that is slowly recovering. And that's the problem.
It's like that dress that we all looked at a while ago. Was it blue or was it white? Some saw blue and some saw white, despite it being the same dress. I see a white dress. Others see blue.

For the record, i honestly hope i'm wrong.

Edit: This w'end is a Bank Holiday in Germany. As we've seen in the past, many actions/decisions have been taken during these periods. It could be an interesting week ahead.

TUX.... with respect you've not detailed this "evidence" apart from a random reference to a blue/white dress?

Can you detail what economic factors are worrying you particularly so we have a basis for comparison?

Sorry, but that's as good as it's gonna get.
We had a chat the other day re- Gordon Brown, i posted part of my ''evidence'', but you've yet to respond either way (i'm honestly not waiting for one).
No offence, but i'm really not interested in making comparisons. We both know that we'd end up going around and around in circles getting nowhere fast.

Let's just wait and see how this thing unfolds.

Apologies about response to Brown evidence - remind me of the thread and I'll get on it if you want to that is?

I agree that we're unlikely to amend our opinions, but I was genuinely interested about why you are so despondent about the economy.

In fact, Merkel is playing a very dangerous game with Deutsche – and one that could easily go badly wrong. If her refusal to sanction a bail-out is responsible for a Deutsche collapse that could easily end her Chancellorship. But if she rescues it, the euro might start to unravel. It is hardly surprising that the markets are watching the relentless decline in its share price with mounting horror.

last paragraph of the article spells it out clearly, bail the bank, and she's a massive hypocrite and I think Mr Greece will revolt somewhat.

Let it fail, and the consequences for her European Utopia will be harsh and swift.

So as far as the UK is concerned, it's a win win.
