Surely it's no worse than halal butchery

Absolutely it isn`t ME, and I don`t really understand why you are asking me to be honest. In my opinion both are barbaric.

I agree with you but in the case of bullfighting we all castigate the Spanish for their barbaric customs whilst happily tolerating all sorts of barbaric animal cruelty in our own country

No it's more cultural than religious in regards to FGM as it is practised by Muslims and Christians alike despite no calls for it being part of either religion other than a brief allusion in the Haddiths

Well it isn't practised by atheists, is it?

There are many things people do in the name of religion that aren't called for, but they still do them.

They do them, because they want to, because at heart they're cruel and ignorant people. Religion and cultural traditional just lets them justify it or avoid questioning it.

Because otherwise, why the f**k could you consider taking a knife to a child's v***** (or foreskin) other than you like doing it.

Or for medical grounds, hence why one is legal and the other is not.

I can`t speak for you, ME, but I certainly don`t "happily tolerate" any animal cruelty anywhere. I speak out against it wherever it occurs.
