John Major was the worst Tory PM in my living history.

Dave lost the plot after a good start.

Gambled his political career on winning the EU referendum but got it wrong.

He will now cash in bigtime like Blair has done by giving lectures around the world.

May and her team have distanced themselves from Cameron/Osborne's regime and will hopefully be less benevolent to the rich and famous and create a more even society.

Promised a referendum and delivered it

Didn't go his way so was a bit naive but it does show a degree of honesty. I'd rather that than Bliar / Brown who won't give you the vote cos they know they'd lose and show contempt for the electorate.

and at least he knew when the game was up and fell on his sword. Corbyn carries on despite the fact hardly any of his front bench or back bench support him.

Labour is a member led party, Corbyn has support from the membership. The plp should respect this.

Anyway, this thread is about Dave the scarperer.

He has split the Labour party and unless they get shot of him will be spending many many years in the wilderness he is an absolute useless leader in my opinion. I would think all the people who have joined the labour party in the last nine months have done so just to vote for him so Labour will never win an election...

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

It's the voters you need, not the members or the employees.

Alternatively, given he campaigned so vociferously to keep the UK in the EU, you could say promised a referendum purely to satisfy his own political avarice and thirst for electoral success.

Was arrogant to the extent that he felt the risk to the UK was more from him not being PM than it was from the UK leaving the EU.

I don't see much principled in his stand. Especially as he made it very clear during the referendum campaign that he would not be doing precisely what he has done - resign.

Thoroughly odious man.
