I must start by apologising to everyone for my lack of time on this thread, it has been such a busy time, with the funeral, the hospice, the hospital and the funeral directors. Today we collected Eden's ashed from the funeral directors.. I can only imagine how Eden's mum, my sister is coping at this time inside. People say I was only an uncle to an 11 day old child, but the bond I created in 11 days with him was unbelievably strong. So how his mother is coping and how she has acted this past few weeks is commendable.. Thank you to everyone who, through this site and through private messages, have send messages of support, love and strength, it has been utterly awe-inspiring and emotional the way the Palace family rallies in my families "hour of need". Through this site and via a collection at the funeral and via my child's primary school holding a non uniform day in honour of the hospice and Eden I have raised for the Forget me not children's hospice over £1,200. In the grand scheme of things and the fact that the hospice requires £3.8m in private charitable donations to run each year, then £1,200 is not a lot, but every penny counts towards a hospice that 8 weeks ago I knew nothing of or knew nothing of the work they really do. The work they do with families and children have changed my life and my ways permanently. They are truly wonderful and will privately donate to them on an ongoing basis for the rest of my life. So once again, thank you to all on the HOL and BBS who have donated and sent message.. Thank you from myself and my family. It is only Palace fans who would do this....
