And the prize for the sport with the moaniest commentators goes to............snooker.

If it isn't about a 'kick' it's about the cloth producing too fast a bounce.

I don't want to turn it down because they do give good advice in what the player may be playing for.

Has anyone listened to the Spanish TV football commentators ? Non-stop gabble.Sounds like a radio commentary.

On the subject of snooker commentators, I recall "Whispering" Ted Lowe who died a few years ago aged 90.

He was one of the greats and fondly remembered (Amongst other things) for his classic :
"And for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green." !

He was also one of those rare commentators.... one who knew the power sometimes of saying nothing and letting the action speak for itself.

Such good commentators from yesteryear - Richie Benaud,John Arlott,Brian Johnston,Bill McLaren,Peter O'Sullevan,Dan Maskell,Eddie Waring etc.
