Bundy is a lazy mans serial killer, all charisma and style, no substance, no class. Like Henry Lee Lucas, its lacks so much panache and artistry, that you can actually make movies about them that people want to see. No one is going to want to watch a movie about the life of Albert Fish or Peter Kurten and feel sympathy, or in fact anything other than a desire for a bleach shower and lynching.

I think you can only truly judge such people on the basis of how alienating you find them and their motives, with the best arguably being those who utterly make no sense at all to you.

Charles Ng and Leonard Lake always struck me as unusually interesting.

Fred and Rose were fantastic too. Such warped backgrounds with all sorts of lovely incest, bestiality, torture, learning difficulties...proper dark. Imagine going round your mate's house when you were a kid and the mum was sat there in a dressing gown with her growler hanging out and no one really knew where your mate's little sister had gone. Quality.

I got dragged along to see one of his shows. I should have heeded the warning bells when I saw all the beardy-weirdy types queuing outside. It was so brain-buggeringly boring that I was out and in the pub after half an hour.

Indeed. I've often wondered why would someone go to such an event, when they could, in theory, just get stoned. I quite liked his book, I quite liked weed and I even smoked weed whilst reading his book.

The film is alright, and his stories are kind of fun, but its a bit like people telling you about 'how interesting their dungeons and dragons game was' (i.e. its not).

Monsters should be monsters, not some pretty boy with a hang up about wanting to bang men. Stories like the Wests actually are more disturbing that the best horror tales, because the juxtaposition normal with almost alien horror. And they become more horrible as time goes on.

Ng oddly had to serve a four year sentence for shop lifting and assault, in Canada, before he could be extradited to the US to stand trial for 12 first degree murders.

Great when it comes to home improvement, gardening and woodland hikes?

The bloke was a criminal.

Like Buster Edwards and others he writes a book, has a film made about him that paints him in a sympathetic light and a whole load of gullible idiots make him into some kind of hero.

People will never stop being dumb will they.

Some people really appreciate the effort he made to get us stoned.

Did she crawl up Mum's growler?

I do agree, this guy was a criminal who profited from other people's misery-although I suppose when you're as high as a kite you're not so miserable.
Marks had links to Colombian drugs cartels and we all know the kind of killing that goes on in their name.
It's strange how certain criminals are revered as lovable rogues and given a celebrity status.
Another example is the IRA. Some people of a certain political persuasion seem to think there is something incredibly romantic about this terrorist organisations activities when all it boils down to is intolerance and murder in the name of their warped cause. WTF is going on with society these days?
