been going on for about a week now. every evening people sit around and debate change to society. 'no hatred, no arms, no violence' being the motto. Similar to occupy movement but not the same. Springing up in cities across France as result of a new labour law put in place. Also spread across to Belgium too. Any chance of anything like this happening in England?

Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping.

It's when they start building guillotines you need to take the French seriously.

All the other times they fulfil their description as "Cheese eating surrender monkeys".

Any change in France always starts in the hills and villages surrounding the big cities. When the peasants revolt, they get change.

I refuse to believe there are that many people out there that can't spell. Too f**king lazy, that's what I think.

It shows how backward French labour laws are when it's a socialist government proposing these changes. As usual it's those that don't work at all who are protesting the most. ie. Students..

And the EU have the cheek to say we'd lose part of our financial sector to France were we to leave. Not in a million years.

Optimistic as ever

I'll bet there's a killing to be made opening a shop selling hand held wooden torches and firelighters in those villages.....

Never, ever trust a nation that eat garden pests as a treat

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.
