It really doesn't seem like a complicated issue to me - if you wouldn't be allowed to preach it / say it in public / write it down, then you shouldn't be exempt from those rules simply because you've set the same words to some form of beat.

I don't see music or art as having any right to exemption from the defined rules, otherwise Jihadi John and his mates could just make the same hate-filled, violence-encouraging speeches, and simply set them to music.

Probably his best track

I think it ultimately comes down to that old reality

People are scared by music the kids are listening too.

It seems to remind me of all the furore over the Beastie Boys and Gangster Rap, or Acid House, or Heavy Metal and Satanism. Media and the moralists do like to dine out on the publicity of outrage.

Shameful, if true as this would be another example of PC fascism stifling free speech:

According to the Viz Profanisauras, the terms you should use are 'botter' and 'Bottee' for male homosexuals & 'nosher' and 'noshee' in the case of female homosexuals.

The term 'bendee' simply does not exist.

And in typical fashion the establishment doesn't bloody learn and is adopting prehistoric measures to address much deeper problems.

Bunch of eejits blaming music for what are most likely deep social and/or cultural problems leading to this 'crime' they talk of.

More on this story.

Not only did the Met tell them not to play certain music, they told them to play Justin Timberlake. w***ers.

They missed a great chance, to suggest they play Synchronicity or Regatta De Blanc etc...

Any bar or pub playing Justin Timberlake should have its doors barred to the public, and then burned down, with the people inside.
