Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

Even got an MBE for being such a top bloke.

I expect you are too young to have suffered at the hands of the psychopath Charles (Smut) Smith at Ruskin.

Going back to the best rather than the ones perved over, the best has to be Peter Clements, the headmaster at WInterbourne Boys back in the 70's.

Absolute gent of a man, knew every pupil by name and even looking back now, took an active interest in how his school ran, how the staff were and how his pupils suceeded.

John Keating played by Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society.

For anyone ever wanting to go into teaching, this film (along with 'Goodbye Mr Chips' with Robert Donat) represents compulsory research. Take note, Nicky Morgan!

To all teachers & pupils out there: 'Seize The Day'

Giles Robertson, the head of Greenvale Primary Schhol, Selsdon was a good-hearted man.
Mr Angier, a history teacher at Bec Grammar was inspirational, but Mr Scrowston the PE & games teacher was sadistic unless you were good at games and/or brave.
I'd advise anyone against going into teaching, incidentally. It has too much paper-work and nonsense these days. Teachers work 72 hour weeks, and the holidays are stuffed with preparation and data-handling. My advise would have been different 10 years ago.
