I think anyone planning a Christmas do in March, coupled with the idea of spending time away with colleagues, is clearly a maniac that plans to rape and murder you. Time to find a new job I'm afraid.

Do what you want to do Nicky. Secret Santa's and works do's with colleagues were always a bitter disappointment in my experience. I have made some good friends from a few work colleagues over the years that I would spend the whole of Christmas with and exchange presents. If you don't regard them as friends then best you don't waste your time indulging their Christmas themes as you will look back and regret it as a total waste of time and money.

1 night in Dublin is 1 too many. Most overrated place i have been to. Friendly enough but in the main full of pissed blokes in s***ty pubs and the beer is very expensive. Amsterdam at Christmas is much better, Xmas markets and lots of other nice things to keep you busy.
