What good, small, UK festivals would people recommend for this summer?

Currently looking at Truck Festival in Oxfordshire, the Manics are headlining. Also there's Leefest south of Croydon that's back on this year.

I have a very mixed taste in music so anything goes...

Tramlines in Sheffield is great fun. It's dotted around the city, very cheap and there's good acts on throughout day and night.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Lewisham Peoples Day will no doubt once again be a triumph. I've been twice and on each occasion it was in the top 20 of the days highlights.

Checkout the Fanny Hatstand pages for Fanny's Meadow over the end of May.

"Camping, dancing and wild music, food and drink" Not big name bands, but we sat on our back steps last year and heard some darn fine music drifting up across the River .......

I really enjoyed Isle of Wight last year. Blur were excellent but Kool and the Gang stole the show.

I thought the festival was run very well and people really appeared to respect each other, which I wasn't expecting after having some bad experiences at Glastonbury and Reading.

Would recommend IOW.
