Lead as in their respective odds currently quoted by UK bookmakers.

Gotcha. So nothing to do with the people who actually have a say in it.

Hillary is 8/11 to win with Ladbrokes
Marco Rubio 11/2
Donald Trump 4/1
Ted Cruz 8/1
Bernie 14/1 to win or 5/1 to beat Hillary

You'll be going from electing one of your youngest Presidents to one of your oldest.

Sanders would be around 80 by the end of his first term if he won. Madness.

80 is the new 70.

Meanwhile, Rubio and Cruz are 44 and 45 respectively, but with a combined mental age that doesn't crack double-digits.

Only in politics, any other line of work it'd be treated with contempt. Could you imagine someone applying to be a teacher between 70 and 80? You wouldn't even get an interview.

All the republicans are seemingly retards.

SO it's either a pensioner or a retard for the most powerful position on the planet...

Optimistic as ever

To be fair to the republican candidates, they're not retards. Their base is...so they're all pandering to retards which makes them sound stupid. I think Rubio may be a little challenged, but Cruz is about as cold, calculating and cynical a is humanly possible.

Here's my quick takes on all of them:

Clinton: corporate toady and mega-panderer
Sanders: more calculating than he looks, may scare the bejeezus out of middle-America
O'Malley: probably a decent candidate but who knows?

Trump: spoiled, entitled, egotistical, racist, mysoginistic trust fund baby
Cruz: snake oil salesman, who gets his snake oil by wiping himself down
Rubio: pinching himself that he's here, as he's done nothing, ever
Carson: proving that brain surgery isn't brain surgery
Christie: how can someone that fat have such thin skin? Credit for being able to eat his way through lap-band surgery
Bush: wasn't he supposed to be the smart one? Bullet dodged!
Paul: hilariously self-unaware
Fiorina: self-unaware, in a very unfunny way; liar
Kasich: old school right wing nut job - the sanest one of the bunch
Huckabee: another candidate who ate his way through a lap-band; wants to go back to a time that never actually existed - prepared to kill anyone who doesn't comply
Santorum: seems quite affable and smart, for a crazy, religious loon who once kept a still-born fetus for a week so that his kids could get to know their dead sibling; unGoogleable

would agree with most. except o'malley. he looks ok from the outside but living in maryland, man he is kind of a prick. met him a couple of times. he's got a weird thing about him that he doesn't come across genuine at all. kind of a weird guy. he should be going for mikulski's senate seat instead of president. maybe it can't hurt to try.

cruz is scary - a true maniac who would do serious damage if elected.

sad that in a couple of the debates, paul seemed like he was the balanced one compared to the other crazies. kasich would be the only one who could actually do the job w/out screwing everything up massively.
