Not sure she was actually a genius, but she had a great voice and was a brilliant singer, but most of her notable hits weren't her creation (New England, Days, Fairy Tale of New York - all were written by very well renown song writers).

Although I'd say that Desperate Character is a very good album.

My favourite band have always been Pink Floyd, Ash.
Apart from that I am a big fan of Blues and Blues Rock, Hard Rock, some Metal, Neil Young, Dylan,and (only recently) Bruce Springsteen.
I generally like Punk, and recently Amy Macdonald.
I used to listen to a lot of Psychodelic Rock, and still like it.
Other stuff like Small Faces, The Troggs, The Kinks and Tom Petty used to float my boat too, and I do still listen to them now and again.
I also like some classical music too, whilst also detesting some classical music.
There`s lots more but I`d be writing an essay if I were to go there.
