good call. bcos my father was czech I have come to know a lot of czech people who have animal names, we have bird, badger and fox they have many more, I've known a Pauline Cat (Pavlina Kocka), a Martin Hedgehog (Jezek) and Vydra means Otter. But my parents were married by a Czech priest called Adolf Pelikan (Czech spelling - yes that WAS his name). So these strange birdies have a sentimental value for me. And it's a good way to get rid of seagulls and living in hastings that's another thing in their favour, pelicans that is.
