There was always a bit of a 'Crossover' musically between Motorhead & the Damned back in the day RIP

You're correct Jimenez. When The Damned split and then tried to reform, they couldn't, due to some contractual reasons, use The Damned so called themselves The Doomed. I saw them at The Nashville Rooms in Hammersmith/South Kensington and Lemmy was on bass. He also played on The Damned's version of "Ballroom Blitz". There's a funny story Lemmy tells in his bio-pic about learning all The Damned's songs perfectly but The Captain manages to fcuk up every Motorhead song! [Link] Ollie's Dad,Ash.

One of the best 'Damned' Gigs I went to was the weekend punk festival at Warners Puckpool on the IOW I think 78/79...

61 like myself......... but I'll bet he's done a lot more dodgy stuff in his lifetime than me........ but I aint complaining!

I always thought Lemmy would be the first to go from Motorhead - that wart thing on his face is getting bigger and bigger..... holey moley!

RIP Philthy!

Lemmy might actually be immortal

Love Motorhead true British metal at its finest. Saw them a few times, and f**k me they were the loudest gigs I ever went to.

Only Manowar were louder in my personal experience.
Both of them , plus all the others, have damaged my hearing beyond repair I've no doubt.

Legendarily loud apparently. I think I remember that Manowar broke their record for loudness.
