I remember "exploring" in the air raid shelters in the playground next to the backdrop of the station... that was always exciting. School Dinners... quick march over the road to West Street (was mixed back then before it became an all girls school). I think you're right about sports days... we used to compete against other schools too like Bandon Hill, Muschamp and Hackbridge there too.
