Quote A report by Amnesty International accuses the Popular Protection Units (YPG) of razing entire villages after capturing them from Islamic State (IS).

This appeared to be in retaliation for residents' perceived sympathies with or links to the jihadist group, it says.

The YPG is a key ally of the US-led international coalition against IS.

Well that's working out well..

If you're looking for the 'good guys' out there, I think it will be a long and fruitless search. There's only the the horrible, the barbaric, the scum, the loonies, oh, and the civilians who sit in the middle getting killed by all of the above.

Beyond sad.

But where are the 'moderate' rebels the press keeps telling me about?

They're dead, or hardened by now. Civil war never has moderates after the first year or so of savagery.

But only this morning the paper was telling me about russians bombing the 'moderate' rebels, are you saying this is untrue?

Hardline Regime = Regime that doesn't buy its arms from us. Won't sell us oil.

Moderate Rebels = People we could probably sell arms to
if they win, or buy oil from.

Hardline Rebels = People who definitely won't do business with us, or are a threat to people we do business with. Those we have to sell weapons to illegally via a third party.

Don't worry gentlemen, the yanks have dropped another 50 tonnes of ammunition to rebel groups so everything will be fine soon. It's not like any of them will be used to kill civilians or anything. Just the bad guys you see!

That about covers it unfortunately.
