I've was looking to move to the coast last year (Eastbourne) but it didn't happen.
My wifes been put under threat of redundancy again, so we're once again looking at coastal locations.
we've seen a property in 'the steyne' , Bognor regis
but wondered if anybody on here lives in that area or knows the steyne even.
no kids at school anymore, so no probs there.

Also taken a look at Worthing.
I've got a large client base in Croydon/ sth.london so don't want to move too far.
Opinions & advise appreciated,
thanks

Our dad took us on holiday there once Bob.

Butlitz I believe it was called.

Me and my two brothers had tunnelled quite a distance from our hut to the boundary fence before we were set free a week later.

When I was a bit older I liked a day out at Clymping next to Littlehampton. The ladies/kids would have a nice day on the beach whilst the lads played Golf on the lynx.

Happy days.

Know someone who recently moved to Angmering Village. -
nice spot with some character. About 1 mile from coast.
Got back home (Banstead) in 45 minutes via A24.

I feared as much.
Used to go to Bognor as a kid in 60's, was quiet nice then.
Last time I visited was 90's and looked on its arse.

My Mum and Dad lived just down the road in Middleton on Sea 100 yards from the beach for a number of years. Very pleasant area with some nice olde worlde pubs. Peaceful and quiet.

Bognor itself is ok enough but obviously there are more vibrant and better looking places around.

though i did hear a while back a major regeneration was in the offing. Don't know if that is still happening. But was big bucks involved.

Come and live behind enemy lines here in Hove. It's great fun.

And Neillo lives here. Can't get cooler than that.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

What about Plumpton?

Whenever I've been to the national hunt races there I've found nice friendly pubs serving good food.

Lovely looking quaint houses off the beaten track, but not far to reach A22/A23 and get back to reality.

I remember the putting green down there.
Used to drive my poor dad mad asking him to take me there.
Surely it must've changed/modernised (for the worst)?
thanks
will take a look.

That track was quite well kept last time I went there.

And they've closed the old style level crossing gates in Plumpton this week. Nightly riots going on as a consequence. More dangerous than Syria at the moment.
