"Love & Mercy that's what we need tonight Lovely song...showed he hadn't lost it all. Let's hope they haven't Hollywooded the story of Brian's life too much...

Should be worth a watch, hopefully might give an insight to the man, never understood why he hasn't written his own story, only stuff written about him by people who "knew/know" him, absolute genius at the time, personal opinion only but disappointed by his later stuff, seems to have stood still, again opinion only but seem to think he is not his own man now.

Wasn't his own man in the 80's when his "doctor" Eugene Landy, medicated and dominated him. Landy also wrote lyrics to some of Wilson's songs in that era, which provided Landy with another source of income, above and beyond the exorbitant fees he was charging for his services. Landy is, I think, exposed in the film as a charlatan. Brian is shown to have been rescued by the love of his second wife, Melinda Ledbitter, and eventually takes control of his own destiny. Now tours regularly and records what he wants to, sometimes very good, sometimes less so, but always unmistakeably Brian Wilson.

Went to see the film today, shows basically what is known about him but still well worth a watch, both actors who play him are excellent in their respective roles, music, although not full songs, still sound good. As credits roll at end of film, footage of him now, singing title song, no body left cinema until footage completely finished, as said earlier well worth a visit
