Is being addicted to FM a medical condition?

This thread is making me want to buy the latest game, which I promised myself I would never, ever do.

I have two kids and a relatively high pressure job, yet I have spent over 365 days in total on FM11 - around a quarter or fifth of my time since I got it. Obviously I have a problem.

This is probably why that Tory Economic advisor was smoking crack, to take the edge of FM withdrawal.

Football Manager is so addictive I have missed going to actual games, in order to make a 'drive for the playoffs'.

I can't ever go back.

Sometimes I put the game on for just one match (in theory) and lose it. Not wanting to go to bed on a defeat I have to play until I win. Then I get a taste for winning so I play another game. Etc. I haven't slept since 2003.

Plus if you go on a good run you dare not stop and save it as you know that once you load up the save game again all momentum is lost.(one of the most annoying things about FM).
