Crystal Palace winger Sean Scannell has signed for Huddersfield for an undisclosed fee.
The Terriers tried to land the 21-year-old in the January transfer window and have seen an improved offer accepted by Palace.
Scannell only signed a new four-and-a-half year contract in September but Eagles boss Dougie Freedman has decided to offload him.
Eagles co-chairman Steve Parish tweeted: "Good luck and best wishes to @BigScanz. Understand fans concerns but let's see where we are at the end of the summer."
The Academy product made 28 starts last term but was probably more effective as an impact sub where he came off the bench 13 times.
He made his debut at QPR in December 2007 and grabbed his first goal with a last-minute winner at home to Sheffield Wednesday just days later.
The Croydon-born player was named Ireland's Young Player of the Year in February 2008 after representing Republic of Ireland’s U17 and U19 sides.
He collected Palace's Young Player of the Year honour at the end of 200/08 and the Championship's Apprentice of the Year Award a year later. He made a total of 141 appearances and scored 13 goals for the Eagles.
