Dougie Freedman
Crystal Palace got their pre-season campaign off to a flyer with a 2-0 win at Chelmsford City.
Striker Dougie Freedman netted a brace as the Eagles overcame the Ryman Premier Division outfit.
Freedman grabbed his first of the evening in the 74th minute with a lob over City keeper Richard McKinney.
And the Scotsman scored again to seal the game seven minutes from time from Shefki Kuqi's pass.
Palace First Half: Speroni, Butterfield, Swaibu, Hudson, Craig, Kudjodji, Soares, Kennedy, Hall, Ifill, Scowcroft.
Second Half: Flinders, Lawrence, Cort, Fletcher, Wiggins, Grabban, Watson, Green, Martin, Freedman, Kuqi.
