The main issue with the Orwellian Scottish gagging laws is that police resources will be diverted from tackling real crimes - not that they seem to pay attention to real crimes these days anyway. It is all just another part of the disastrous course being followed by the various expensive, incompetent, spendthrift and deluded assemblies that have the reins of government in the UK - cheered on by equally deluded left-wing crackpots.

Isn't that just a tad racist? No one I know thinks it's a good idea to say whatever they like. I think that falls under the headings of diplomacy, good manners, discretion and courtesy. It's not common practice for a country to alter its national flag for a sporting event. National flags are symbolic representations of a country's identity and history, and altering them can be seen as disrespectful or confusing. Instead, countries usually showcase their national flag proudly as it is during sporting events to represent their identity and unity. That also includes LGBTQ community.

Not in the prejudices which are built by the myths circulated in the right wing press. That’s where a parallel universe has been created and it’s their readers who are living in it. This is a complicated subject with many sub sections of our population to consider, along with a variety of different types of crime. Some of which will rise and fall for a variety of reasons. Nevertheless the overall picture is clear. The widely held belief that crime is increasing due to higher immigration is untrue.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

I'm very hard to insult, words don't bother me, but if you are going to make a point, then you will inevitably diminish it by using daft names.
