I was just reading a piece from added 3 minutes . Where Chelsea want to do a swap deal for Olise and Gallagher coming our way , I'd be expecting about 20-30 mill along with that .

I don't understand Chelsea's disrespect of Gallagher and he's made it very clear he's a Chelsea fan and wants to play for them. He had a chance when he wasn't a consistent starter to come back and he wanted to fight for his place. Which I don't hold against him, that's the sort of player you want at your club.

Now he's their Captain most of the time and starts each game plus adds to their English quota and all you hear is he is free to go and open to offers any time Chelsea transfers are mentioned.

I think he'd come here really dejected and might not be the player he once was.

Yes the hierarchy is treating him pretty shabbily but obviously Poch likes him. The team looked good against Villa with him in Fernandez's position but the latter was a 100million outlay. Gallagher is one of the few home grown players they can sell and help with their finances. Broja's value will have dropped considerably this season

I agree with you in principle, but Gallagher understands the Chelsea predicament and he must see what is happening at the Palace. If Guehi and Olise were our only gem exits then who knows. But maybe the shine has rubbed off somewhat with the likes of EZE Hughes and Wharton performing so well.
Between the clubs they could pull a legit deal that would really help them and give us a handsome income.

Gallagher was never coming back. He's still not coming back. If Chelsea are daft enough to sell one of their best players and one who their fans love then there'll be bigger clubs with deeper pockets than us interested, even if he is ideally suited to a high-pressing game like the one OG uses. If he goes I still think Spurs will be at the front of the queue, but I think other young talents like Broja and Chalobah will be sold instead. Speaking of Broja, it wouldn't surprise me if Palace asked what sort of deal might be possible for him.

Broja is a dud. Chelsea over value him and he is not up to much. Would rather see 1 or 2 of our academy goal-scoring talent get a go pre-season.

I remember the Sansom/Clive Allen swap deal. That turned out well... for Arsenal

Would love Conor Gallagher to come back, he'd be excellent cover for Will Hughes.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

How could we forget?

They must’ve been laughing at us, especially as we ended up with David Price as well

David price was part of a swap deal for Peter Nicholas.....Paul Barron was part of the deal that saw Sansom go to Arsenal with Allen coming to Palace

Our record on swap deals hasn’t been great.
We did get Andy Johnson as a makeweight in the deal for Clinton Morrison to Birmingham.
Morrison was a good player, but we got the better of that deal.
Johnson averaged more than a goal per two games for us and was sold for a decent fee at the time to Everton.
Off the top of my head I can’t think of any other swap deals that worked for us.
Mind you, swap deals seem to have died a death in recent years.
Perhaps she would resurrect them and swap Edouard for Nketiah!
