From the players side its maybe the club captain who should be supporting the managers view on player recruitment ? Andersen has stepped out of line IMO , blaming team mates is poor form and if Newcastle or anyone else offered north of £40M Id bite their hand off .

Why were we so negative in the first game against Everton? Roy doesn’t take the cup seriously so why not go all out to score?

A Player where English isn't there first language, has given an interview to a journalist whose 1st language isn't English who are going to print the interview in their language at the weekend (so it isn't even public yet) but the headline is that JA demands....

Don't agree at all with this Elpis. For my money Andersen has been pretty much our best player every time I have been to Selhurst Park over the past couple of seasons. Against Brentford his passing was not as good as usual but he was defensively dominant, more so than Guehi in my view. Can't see him being our best player next season. He will be gone. Along with Olise and Guehi. Maybe even Eze heaven forbid. Problem is replacing our talent will not come easy especially if our owners remain out of sync. Our performance or lack of in the transfer market has been seriously questionable.

It really doesn't take much of a genius to see what our shortcomings are. However, it all seems to be a bit too much for us to address. Why we haven't used our loan slots if skint is, frankly, baffling. What have we got? Some kind of anti-loan edict because we didn't get Gallagher? Patently ridiculous.

Newcastle can’t afford to spend £60m on a player cos of FFP and need to sell someone big this summer before they can buy (hence why they only have 3 fit midfielders and yet can’t afford to just take Phillips on loan). There was never any chance of them bidding this for Anderson last summer or this coming one! I do rate Anderson though.
