Never understood how new songs are created by fanatics.
Do they visit this site?
Anyhow...

YOU GOT AN EAGLE ON YOUR SHIRT
GOT AN EAGLE ON YOUR SHIRT
GOT AN EAGLE ON YOUR SHIRT
YOUR MY BABE
GOT MY EYES ON YOU.

Surely not. You can't mess with John Lee Hooker.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I think you'd have to lead it, Bill.

I was lucky enough to see John Lee Hooker perform at the Crystal Palace hotel around 1968/69.

Beats me why we ever dropped some of the gold n oldies like ‘You’re gonna get your efin eads kicked in.’
I suppose that’s when men were men.
I see in Spain the women are taking over. No doubt they will merge the teams soon. They got the same name now.

Perhaps the most memorable song for me was when Steve Bruce returned to Selhurst with Birmingham, after walking out on us around November 2001 when I think we were near the top of what was then the old second division(for younger readers what is now the championship).
And all of a sudden the crowd started singing,to the tune of Nelly the Elephant, the following:
'Stevie the elephant packed his trunk and said goodbye to the Palace,
off he went with a trumpty trump, CNUT CNUT CNUT'
I often wondered how that song was devised and planned.

Don’t recall that Bill but do quite clearly remember chants of ‘Steve Bruce, takes it up the ar5e’ over and over again to the tune of ‘1-0 and you f**ked it up’.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

In Lieu of Olise's injury, What about :

We should have bought someone,
We should have bought someone,
And then have bought some more.

Someone for the Wing,
who could cross the thing,
and then we just might score

to the tune of "I could have danced all night" from My fair Lady
