I haven't watched it so it would be wrong of me to criticise the show. However Disney will keep a close eye on the streaming numbers if they are what they hope then all is well.

As the British public vote in the Eurovision showed the public don't always react the way that social media think it should.

I turned on Disney+ to see what's new on there. WOW!! It is woker than woke! Even the new Star Wars cartoon has non binery aliens in it!
No wonder subscriptions are going down at a rapid rate.

They should change the name of the contest to "Carry on camping"
and Dr Who to "Doctor WTF"

Touch my coffee and I will slap you so hard even Google won't be able to find you.

Go woke , go broke.

Its best to boycott anybody ramming their annoying political agenda down your throat. Especially coffee shops, or other providers that are easy to replace. When i walk into any business, if they are bedecked in woke iconography, i always about-tail at the door and go elsewhere.

Its about making a statement. The real kicker is when Public Sector types go woke and force Rainbow Police cars on everybody.

I think that is a good point. If you don't like a corporation preaching at you we do usually have the option to shop elsewhere. If it's the Civil Service going all woke we don't.

I really enjoyed this article about the Irish entry. Sums up a lot about today and the Eurovision.

Loved this quote in the comments section of the article:

I really don’t know why any sane person watches Eurovision, it seems since the turn of the century it is less of a song competition and more a stage to demonstrate what happens to people when asylums are closed down.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

It's a good site for Irish news. The real news that everyone knows but isn't allowed to say. The Journal - that's the Irish Guardian but actually worse. RTE is more propaganda than anything else. Our news is frankly awful. We make the BBC look balanced, even Sky but nobody can do anything for Channel 4. That's beyond the pale - which is a saying from Ireland I presume.

Yes, you always have freedom of choice ... except where the BBC is concerned. You HAVE to pay the licence fee to watch TV and therefore should be heard on how and where the money is spent. Time is up for the "Song Contest" if that last broadcast is the best Eurovision can come up with.

Wasn't that a reference to the areas outside of Dublin not under British control? I haven't bothered to Google so maybe wrong.

Yes, but 'Norman' not 'British'. The Norman territory was surrounded by a palisade ie a fence made of individual wooded spikes or pales. The Irish barbarians without were said to be 'beyond the pale'.

A more recent usage is in respect of the pogroms in the Russian Empire. The Pale of Settlement was an area where Jews were (pretty much) allowed to settle, but they weren't allowed to go 'beyond the Pale'.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

The film Eurovision is hilarious. Me and my better half were roaring with laughter at some parts.

It also accurately predicts where it was heading!

annoyed at paying the TV license ? and a lefty telly broadcaster ? protest them. We did in Ireland, and shortly afterwards the knifes are out in the Boardroom, financial scandals and a ton of sackings
