Early Barron, Brian Bason, John Lacey, Leif Anderson, Les Strong, Jim Scott, David Price, Tomas Brolin, Shefki Kuqi, Tommy Langley, Ivan Kaviedes (or whatever his name was).
In all honesty you vould pick loads of others: Curtis Fleming, Steve Galliers, Jon Macken, Dorman - the list is endless

Who could forget the way he wore his shorts!

Thought Curtis Fleming was OK but plagued by injury late in his career.

and how exactly did he wear these shorts?

Very high, Simon Cowell style.

A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, at my age, I don't even buy green bananas!

in no particular order and mainly based on players I've seen, and still undecided about the keeper,never saw Bason or Hepplelite;

Lacey
Chris Jones
Langley
Aylott
Stan Cummings
Ketterdge
Mahoney
MaCollough
Pennyfather
Fenwick

Only went on to play for England.

so did John Fashanu and Dennis Wise

I think you will be in a minority thinking that FENWICK would get in a worst ever Palace IX.

If we're still looking for a truly awful left back, David Amsalom must surely be the one.

Zaha, Williams, Murray, Ambrose, Scannell.

tony mahoney, tommy langley, and a surprise to myself was david price, double winner with arsenal, thought we had got a blinder here when he joined us, can always remember one game he played in (took part !) considering he was a midfielder he didnt touch the ball till the 25th minute. peter nicholas (1st time round was a superb player) but on his 2nd visit was also very poor, similar to price, never seemed to get involved

I bet after maradonna made him look silly in the 86 world cup he smiles to himself when he sees messi doing the same to players now.

tbh Fenwick came out of the game with some credit,Shilts(getting out jumped by a 5 foot 5 man) Reid and Butcher were made to look rather silly.

Quote It's only a game at 31 May 2011 8.40pm

Would agree with Hammond, he was put in by Big Mal to replace Jacko & cost us so many games in his 1st season in Div 2. Derek Kevan cost us £20K (a fair sum back then) in 1965 from Man City & was an England international but his best days were over & he was pants for us (more my Dad's memory than mine).

Ask your dad if he remembers Ian Lawson who came from Leeds in, I think 1965-66, around the same time as Kevan, and was just as useless. He also had the arrogance and cheek to refuse to give me his autograph when I spotted him and John Sewell at an evening European match at Chelsea in 1966. However, good old Shovel was gentleman enough to oblige.
