That's obviously up there as a going mental moment. But the game against Gillingham at Selhurst last season will be right up there: Hudson had been sent off, they missed a penalty, they missed it again and then 2 minutes later the ball dropped to Butterfield, 17,000 people said "Hit it!!!" at exactly the same time and the ball flew into the top corner. I went absolutely mental, because of the fact that Gillingham are such a bunch of pikies, the fact that we were down to 10 me etc.

But I completely lost it!!!

I have to agree, the excitement buzzing around Selhurst in that 5 minute period was electric. Not only one penalty miss but two. You just knew we were gonna go up the other end and smash the winner and then up stepped Danny Butterfield. An absolute screamer from about 25 yards if not more.

Wigan... £3 million for One-Size

Oh, go on then!

great thread
the hapiest ive been was, obviously, 04 play off final, but, becuase i was so overawed, i didn't go that mental. Either listening to the radio in my room when Gray (julian, that is) scored against liverpool in the FA cup at Anfield the second time, or when AJ made it 3-2 against Sunderland in the 04 play offsemi final first leg.

1.Hazy memory but remember going loopy after Don Rogers hit the 5th against Man Utd in 1972.

2.Amazing scenes after we beat Burnley in 1979

3.Madden's penalty and Wrighty's header against Blackburn 1989

4. All 4 goals against the scousers in 'that game' reduced me to tears.

Shipps' goal at Cardiff.....he scored, I was jumping up and down, but it wins, purely for the reason that while celebrating, I scraped my shin on the seat in front of me, and still have the mark today!

Another one for me was Powell's goal at Sunderland.....never before have I gone THAT mental in my living room before.

LOL. My aunt did the exact same thing at Cardiff. Worth it though!

Semi Final 1990 versus Liverpool, stood on the Holte End when Gray scored to take it to 3-3 in the last minute, a moment I will never forget, I was stood next to the fence between us and the scousers, they had just started to sing you'll never walk alone then bang Gray scores I climbed the fence in celebration only for a copper to start hitting my fingers with his truncheon and back down I fell, the look of disbelief on the scousers faces was priceless. What a day.

4-3 Semi Final 1990. All the Palace goals - Supa Al's header but most of all when the final whistle went.
I couldn't tell you what I did for the next five minutes but I sure hugged a lot of blokes. Then I saw some old boy crying and shouting out to anyone who'd listen "I've been waiting for that for 50 years" If I wasn't the Russian Bear of a bloke you lot know I might have cried myself.

As you can see below Andy Gray,s goal against the Scousers still sends shivers down my spine!
we on were on the verge of going out after putting up such a fantastic performance.

And Plus the fact I bought 10.000 red and Blue Ballons for the game!

Right in the middle of you'll never walk alone made it all the more sweet!

However there have been many other where I have gone just as Balistic, during the team of the 80,s and 79 God has it been that long!

Gary o'reilly,s cup final one stands out
John Salad,s lob over Mark crossley
tons of wright and Bright,s
Now im not sure about this one but if memory serves Marco Gabbiadini scored the winner at Anfield for our first ever win there and it must have been 3.000 of went completly mental?
could have been Geoff Thomas though?

God I love Palace

i never did see powells equaliser, me and my dad were at selhurst watching it on the big screen and after while it looked like it wasnt going to be our day and after jules got sent off we headed back to the car distraught.

Got in the car and heard a slight cheer from the ground, thought it was the sunderland fans cheering the final whistle, but suddenly the radio turned on and we heard... ''AND ITS POWELL WHOS GOT THE EQUALLISER!'' couldnt belive it! ended up jumping out of the car while it was still moving and legging it back into the stadium...

extra time passed, then penalties. Having missed two penalties that would of sent us through, still didnt think it was going to be our day... up stepped hughes. that was that. went absolutely crazy

anyone else watching at the ground remember?
