Other than a short spell from Benteke we have not had a reliable striker over the past decade-plus. The difference is that we no longer have Zaha, Olise has been injured and we get nothing significant from anyone else. Lerma and Doucoure offer very little going forward and whilst Andersen and Guehi may be more cultured players, they don't compare with Dann and Delaney's abilities in the either penalty area.

We have not scored from a corner all season whilst shipping plenty. We had a three year spell in the mid-teens when we scored 26 goals via that route

One thing having a decent forward, another thing having any outlet for them to score. When we are playing 7 in defense, I'm not sure how they re meant to have any chances worth producing goals from. Not saying that I think they are great, I don't but they aren't exactly given a lot of service.
